MPS
Costs:

DI Only and DI portion of MPS/DI
Costs:
- Housing- $800 and up
- Meals (hospital cafeteria)- $8-15
- Resources materials and supplies- $100 (optional, if additional are needed)
- Professional membership in AND- $58 (optional)
- Health and car insurance- varies
- Professional liability insurance- $35-$65
- Registration examination- $225
Dietetic interns are encouraged to bring a calculator and textbooks related to medical nutrition therapy, food and drug interactions and medical terminology. Laptops and other resource materials will be supplied, including library resources and the Nutrition Care Manual. Interns must have internet access at home if they wish to do any optional telework.
Transportation
Interns must have a car and current auto insurance. Most affiliate locations are within 35 miles of the MVAHCS. Parking is free at the MVAHCS and at most affiliate sites.
Allocation
Each intern receives an allocation of approximately $25,200 for the 42 week program. This is subject to change yearly and is paid bi-weekly. The amount you recieve as 'take home' pay will vary based on whether or not you choose to utilize the VA benefits offered to trainees as well as other deductions, such as taxes.
Scholarship Information

Financial Aid
Financial aid is not available; however, student loans may be deferred in most cases.
